Our Relationship

Alice and Brian met while working together at the Westin in Palo Alto. Their first date was at Cocola Bakery on Santana Row where Brian told Alice everything he was allergic to.

After a few months of dating, Alice moved to Europe to finish her Master’s Degree. Long Distance Relationship is no joke, as Alice and Brian maneuvered and communicated through Skype and different Time Zones. In the end, long distance relationship made them the couple they are today.

In 2012, Alice accidentally signed them up for the Nikes Women Marathon, all 26.2 miles. Instead of getting upset, Brian encouraged Alice to train and run. It was then Alice realized Brian was the one for her. How many guys will actually run and train for a full marathon?

From then on, Alice and Brian proceed to inspire and encourage each other through different careers. In 2015 Brian graduated from The Art Institute, with Alice by his side.

After 8 years of dating, Brian finally popped the question in Kauai, Hawaii.

Anny Chen - Maid of honor

Anny is Alice’s younger sister, thought at time, she acts older. Between all 3 Chen sisters, Anny is the most mischievous. She loves playing tricks on Alice and Joanna just to get a laugh. Anny is an amazing mother to Alice’s one and only niece, Hailey.

Kunal Singh - Best Man

The opening scene of Kunal and Brian`s bromance starts at the Westin in Palo Alto; Kunal, the bellman and Brian, the Valet. They would spend eight hours a day working together, then hanging out later to take a walk to 7 11. In fact, they spent more time with each other than with their significant others. Needless to say, this was evantually shut down by their significant others. They have since started careers and have been pivotal in each other’s success.

Cindy Lee- Officiant

Cindy and Alice have been best friends for over 10 years. They first met at TAYL and because fast friends. Their friendship consists of wine, yoga and traveling, but Alice draws the line when it comes to CrossFit. Cindy first met Brian at Gordon Biersch in San Francisco 8 years ago and gave Alice her seal of approval.

Joanna Chen - bridesmaid

Joanna is Alice’s baby sister and running partner. They recently completed the Rock and Roll San Francisco half marathon. Joanna makes the world's best coffee, which is something Alice always requests when she goes home. Joanna is finishing her last year at Grad School and is looking for work, if anyone is hiring.

Son Tran - Groomsmen

Son and Brian have known each other for over 20 years. They have been through the thick and thin together and are more like brothers than friends. At various wedding, they have dressed up as "Harry and Floyd", "Michael Jackson and Skinny Brian Wilson" and most recently the "Riddler and Brian Whitebread". Regardless of where they are, they always have fun and bring out the best in each other. Son and Brian are basically the same boys they were when they met over 20 years ago.

Hailey Lin - Flower Girl

This little munchkin can do no wrong in Alice's eyes. Her spunkiness and giggles can brighten anyone's day.
